Since 1984, WK Motorwerks has been Baton Rouge’s trusted independent service center for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Mini vehicles. Our factory-trained technicians combine dealership-level expertise with the personal care only a local shop can provide, backed by state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and OEM-quality parts.
Our Heritage
WK Motorwerks was founded by Wedge Kyes, whose automotive roots trace back to his grandfather’s Standard Motor Car Company. Growing up in the service bays, Wedge learned firsthand the value of craftsmanship, honesty, and precision.
Wedge earned a diploma in industrial instrumentation, specializing in rotating equipment diagnostics before returning to the automotive business as shop foreman for Prevost Motors. There he managed 17 technicians, directed technical training and applied his industrial experience to troubleshooting challenging problems.
By the time he launched WK Motorwerks in 1984, he carried forward not just technical knowledge, but a family tradition of automotive excellence in Baton Rouge.
